Integrated Hydrological Modeling to Analyze the Effects of Precipitation on Surface Water and Groundwater Hydrologic Processes in a Small Watershed

چکیده

The main objective of this study is to evaluate the performance integrated hydrological model, MIKE SHE in a small watershed analyze effect two different precipitation sources on model outputs (groundwater elevation and surface water flows). was calibrated validated with observed groundwater elevations flows measured at United States Geological Survey (USGS) gage stations basin. calibration for (R = 0.80, MAE= 0.20 m3/s, BIAS ?0.14 NSE 0.59) 0.74, MAE 0.45 m, 0.08 0.35) showed that able predict processes based forcing variables watershed. analysis did not show nearer (NOAA-Edwardsville) gauge station has better than farther (NOAA-St. Louis). quantitative analyses most sensitive output variable suggested uncertainties had noticeable impacts (0.81% 11.19%), (0.06% 0.07%), an average 6.71% 0.66%, respectively. Our results differences simulated spring (12.9%) winter (36%) seasons compared summer (11.4%) fall (4.6%) as result difference (6% 18%) precipitation, which indicated impact vary seasons. have shown affects care should be taken while selecting input datasets (i.e., precipitation) performance, specifically flows.

Hydrologic Response of a Small Watershed Model to Generated Precipitation

Watershed models such as SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool) simulate water quality impacts of land and water resource management alternatives. To simulate these impacts, long-term daily rainfall data are necessary. In the absence of measured rainfall data, watershed models use weather generators to simulate rainfall events. The objective of this study is to examine several daily precipitatio...

environmental effects of gol-e-gohar iron ore mine on groundwater of the area

gol-e-gohar iron ore mine of sirjan in southern part of iran is a large open pit that operates below the groundwater table and during mining operation, dewatering is required to prevent operation processes from flooding. current operation is going on by digging wells in or out of the pit and pumping to prevent flooding. as a result of the former dewatering operation a vast deep cone of depressi...

critical period effects in foreign language learning:the influence of maturational state on the acquisition of reading, writing, and grammar in english as a foreign language

since the 1960s the age effects on learning both first and second language have been explored by many linguists and applied linguists (e.g lennerberg, 1967; schachter, 1996; long, 1990) and the existence of critical period for language acquisition was found to be a common ground of all these studies. in spite of some common findings, some issues about the impacts of age on acquiring a second or...
